the reason I said I wasn't sure is because the commentators on cnbc and the like aren't sure. Some say it is a bear market and this recent uptrend was a bear market rally, nothing more. Others say this is the end of the bear mkt and we are basing looking to a new bull.

Myself, I don't really care. The only thing I really take issue with is the claims of "secular bear market" that I keep hearing on SI. I don't think theres enough evidence to draw that conclusion. Whenever you say anything bullish on the trading threads you have to say "this secular bear market rally..." because otherwise they jump all over you. The bears are as hyperemotional on the downside as the bulls were on the upside.
