Whaddya know....RETAIL A'INT TOTALLY DEAD? 08:09 ET JC Penney beats by $0.03; sees Q4 above current consensus (JCP) 18.51: Reports Q3 earnings of $0.30 per share, $0.03 better than the Multex consensus. Revs rose 1.9% year/year to $7.87 bln vs the $7.94 bln consensus. For Q4, continues to see EPS of $0.60 (consensus $0.56). Remember the IMPORTANT RETAIL SALES NUMBER IS OUT THIS WEEK
