you're welcome, tc.
i'm glad that you too had good results with SpyBot.
as you can see, i am enthusiastic about the program after first hearing about it from a moderator on WindowsBBS ("Try Ad-aware and Spybot both"), then installing it and running it on my operating systems, exchanging emails with the author, checking out the SpyBot forum, and then reading even more comments about it on grc.com.
i am now reading my way through a 26 page treatise on the whole spyware/malware subject, Adware and Under-Wear - The Definitive Guide, ecommercebase.com . the article was mentioned on the gibson site.
it's truly amazing what even the most inoffensive of the group, adware, can do on your pc.... including "resetting your home page, adding links in your Favorites, and yanking your browser to their sites while you're trying to go elsewhere." and these are the inoffensive programs! <g3>
as for keyloggers on your office computers, conventional wisdom has it that employees might as well take it for granted that they are being surveilled. while this may or may not be the case, it's the only prudent course for an employee to take.
i'd love to hear what you discover.
:)
