One senario might be: That Michael (with Ben's permission) saw that he could not rid the company of the entrenched ex-dekkies. That Carly and the board at HP saw that their violin playing Chairman was holding the company back AND THAT THE MERGER WAS A WAY TO GET RID OF BOTH, in one swell foop.

Clues, then would be:

What amount, if any of Stock has Ben Rosen dumped?

If Michael was that aware of what was happening why would he now leave?

If Ben still has all his shares, maybe Michael was just a pawn?

And like that.
