Forms and Reports are not gone. If they were, I'd be brushing up on my java big time. The client-server version is gone.

Here are some of the details from the Apps 10.7 desupport notice (which was posted in March. This is not new news!):

Product Details: Platform(s) Details:
Product: E-Business Suite (Oracle Applications)
Product Version(s): 10.7
Platform(s): Platform Version(s):
ALL Platforms ALL

Desupport End Dates:
Error Correction Support (ECS): 30-JUN-2003

Product Obsolescence / Desupport Information:
Oracle Corporation announces the end of Error Correction Support for E-Business Suite (Oracle Applications) version(s) 10.7 on the following platform(s): ALL Platforms, effective 30-JUN-2003.

Oracle Corporation recommends customers upgrade/migrate to the following as soon as possible to maintain the highest level of support: E-Business Suite (Oracle Applications) 11i on any Oracle certified platform.

snip

Exceptions and/or Miscellaneous Information:

o This desupport is for E-Business Suite (Oracle Applications) 10.7 Character Mode, SmartClient & NCA.
o E-Business Suite (Oracle Applications) 10.7 customers will continue to receive patches for P1 and P2 bugs until 30-JUN-2003. There will be no maintenance releases and no new operating system or database certifications.
o Support for Oracle Payroll will be limited to legislative changes only.
o Extended Assistance Support after 30-JUN-2003 will NOT be provided.

The important thing to note here is that there is NO "extended assistance support". For other products, Oracle will continue to answer questions, but not provide patches, through "extended assistance support". In the case of Apps 10.7, they're saying migrate or you're on your own.

Here is some of the desupport notice for Developer 6i:

Product Details: Platform(s) Details:
Product: Oracle Reports 6i
Product Version(s): 6.0.8.x
Platform(s): Platform Version(s):
ALL Platforms ALL

Desupport End Dates:
Error Correction Support (ECS): 01-DEC-2003
Extended Assistance Support (EAS): 01-DEC-2006

Product Obsolescence / Desupport Information:
Oracle Corporation announces the end of Error Correction Support for Oracle Reports 6i version(s) 6.0.8.x on the following platform(s): ALL Platforms, effective 01-DEC-2003.

Oracle Corporation recommends customers upgrade/migrate to the following as soon as possible to maintain the highest level of support: Oracle 9iAS 2.x on any certified Oracle platform, as it becomes available.

EAS will be provided until 01-DEC-2006, if the customer has a current support contract in place.

EAS includes the following:

Telephone and Electronic support, consisting of:
o Answers to customers' questions
o Assistance with migration plans to a supported platform and/or product
o Workarounds, where possible

EAS does NOT include the following:
o Error Correction Support (ECS) - No new bug fixes
o Backporting of fixes
o Certification with supported products, newer operating system versions or new compilers
o Escalation support, response time adherence and skill availability

Note the difference in EAS support. Although Oracle will not be providing fixes to client-server reports after 12/1/03, they will still answer your questions until 12/1/06. If you wrote your own ERP application using Oracle Developer, you can run it client-server until the end of 2006 and still be supported. If you bought Oracle's apps, you have to migrate from client-server by 2Q 2003.
