A while back I all but started a brawl in the retirement community where my dad lives by taking the position with some of the residents that the money they're getting from social security is not a return on what they paid in. You should have asked me first<g>. This is the absolute truth: After a five-minute discussion with my mother-in-law on this subject, she banned me from her house and I did not set foot in her house for five years. I'm not exaggerating. She banned me from her house for five years because I pointed out to her that HER SS wasn't HER money (this, despite the fact she never worked a day in her life)....God, I hope my wife doesn't read this!!! They don't understand it isn't THEIR money, it is OUR money..
