Man offers sheep with detached house

A three-bedroom detached house for sale in Kent comes with an optional sheep thrown in.

Ray Turnell bought Dolly the ewe to trim the grass on his one-and-three-quarter acres of gardens at his home in Wrotham.

The Sun says the 56-year-old is offering Dolly's mowing services to whoever buys the £500,000 house.

His local estate agents advertised the home as "a three-bed detached house with separate annexe, triple garage and optional sheep".

Ray said: "The grass used to be a real problem as it grows so quickly in summer and I get hay fever. A farmer friend suggested I get a sheep rather than suffer the misery of using a lawnmower each week or so."

He says Dolly is very friendly and efficient but he's moving house and doesn't want to uproot the sheep.

Estate agent Simon Payne said: "This is the first time we have ever sold a house with a sheep thrown in. Who knows? It could take off."
