PeopleSoft Raises the Bar for Enterprise Software Training
PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 2002--PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq: PSFT - News) today announced PeopleSoft Hosted Training, the first hands-on "virtual classroom" solution in the enterprise applications industry. The new web-based solution will provide users with tailored hands-on training and real-time interaction with PeopleSoft applications to speed proficiency and usage and accelerate the company's return on its software investment.
Traditionally, to get hands-on training with enterprise software applications, customers traveled to training centers or installed software and supporting applications on high-end PCs, resulting in additional labor and expense. PeopleSoft Hosted Training only requires Internet access.
PeopleSoft offers a wide range of training and eLearning options that enable customers to tailor blended education programs to meet their specific needs. For example, a customer working remotely can dial in using a low bandwidth connection and access an introductory eLearning class on a PeopleSoft application. Then, they can attend a live webcast session, and later practice what they have learned using PeopleSoft Hosted Training.
With the introduction of PeopleSoft Hosted Training, the company continues to demonstrate leadership in training and eLearning. PeopleSoft Education has delivered training services for 15 years to application users and project teams to increase software competence and productivity.
"PeopleSoft Hosted Training will enable customers to gain product proficiency and realize more value from their software investment quickly," said Michael Gregoire, senior vice president, PeopleSoft Global Services. "The solution will offer customers another easily accessible and convenient delivery method and can allow all organizations, particularly those with minimal IT infrastructures, to maximize software education budgets."
PeopleSoft Hosted Training is expected to be available in December 2002.
