Golly, obviously you missed the most entertaining (and confusing) story in today's WSJ about "Realtors pressured on commissions." I read it two times to make sure I understood it, and I still don't. Meanwhile, just referred another client to an active Realtor who will do for this client what the client can't do for himself but would do IF ONLY ONE COULD ACTUALLLY SELL A HOUSE ON THE INTERNET WITHOUT PAYING SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT.

Incidentally, this Realtor to whom I referred the listing tells me that there is NOTHING decent for sale in the $500K-$600K range in our local Wash DC market, so any sales in this range should be easy. Go figure.....

Also just opened up new mail received today from a local "cut-rate" broker" trying to recruit my old retired-but-licensed self to work for him----tells tall tales about how his business model is working to cut down the cost of buying and selling houses and making life more lucrative at the same time for his agents. I'm sorry, but this tale has been told a million times, and it ain't working--for buyers, for sellers, or for agents.
