You certainly aren't describing the average American town where real estate offices are on every corner and are fiercely competitive. (Would it surprise you to know that real estate salespeople are competitive against even those people in their own firms? Yes, it's true here where I live.)

I keep thinking something is very different between real estate in California and real estate on the East Coast. Gee.....it might take a 500-page book to describe the differences?
