If memory serves, Cree has been spending about 2 million or so per quarter on litigation expenses. Assuming 90% of this amount can now be reduced from G and A, that is a nice sweetener for the bottom line.

Add to this the removal of major legal uncertainty from any pending partnerships or product rollouts, and it would seem to be a major step in clearing the decks for growth.

And, what possible benefits may come from cross-licensing? Perhaps there is a tidbit or two of Nichia technology Cree has really been wanting to incorporate into the product stream.
