Good points. I am assuming the cross-licensing is going to address certain elements of design, but I am presuming that the traditional CREE focus on silicon carbide and Nichia on sapphire will remain. I would be surprised if the cross-licensing addressed the core patent technologies involving epitaxy, for example...but we will have to wait and see.
