That is totally depressing. It is good there is some focus of world attention on the matter, but for how long? The world has a short attention span. And though this beauty contest may shine a light on this one spot for now, things like this are happening everywhere. I find the incarceration of so much of our population here, in the US, (over 50% of the prison population now) for drug crimes terribly depressing, and that is happening right here in our own country. Perhaps we need to move toward more human values ourselves?
