Democracy is relatively messy and inefficient, that is true. It is supposed to
be. It is even somewhat corrupt.


One and two, I agree. Three, there is nothing inherent in democracy that makes it corrrupt; in fact, quite the opposite. Any corruption is a failure of the democratic process, because it means that things are happening secretly and outside the public view, and that should happen only with legitimate national security or law enforcement functions.
