Are you suggesting letting anyone list in Realtor.com?
First, the Realtors wouldn't go for it. They pay dues. They are NAR members and the NAR runs Realtor.com.
This doesn't prevent somebody else from starting a national listing site. Many have been started but they still seem to cater to the real estate agent. Mainly because they have the listings and they wouldn't join if FSBO's were allowed to list properties on the same site. So there is the rub.

Someday someone will figure it all out and maybe give MLS a run for their money. Yet to happen though.
