Bush is not a stupid or incompetent president. In the ways that matter, he is smart and very competent. He possesses the first requirement of greatness in a president -- not the only, but the first -- a clear understanding of what he wants to achieve and the determination to achieve it, seemingly regardless of the risk of personal failure. He presides over an administration that is unusually intelligent -- and also cunning -- unusually experienced, unusually disciplined and unusually bold.

I never said that Bush wasn't clever.....he is....clever like a fox. However, I don't think of foxes as being intelligent animals. Furthermore, I have never said that Bush's administration is not intelligent or competent. They are very competent at making war period. And frankly there is more to a presidency than war.

And the characters in the WH are a little weird.....I wanted to rent Rumsfield for Halloween. And C. Rice's comments that at 47, she has not had time for a relationship because of her work is over the top. I think they need some shrink work in that White House.

As for the greatness of this presidency, if it is, then I don't know what greatness is. You all think Reagan was great.........I don't get it. The guy was a b actor; nothing more, nothing less. But don't leave to us, history will let us know on both of them.
