Thats what I thought. Tied to the rat race. Too bad. Today it is real nice sunny day. Warmer than when you were here. We have microclimates. Hot on one side of home, cold on other. Hot means 85. Colds means 55. Yes, the coldest days are in August. You should visit in January. Can be t-shirt weather then. Can also be stormy rain and wind too. Some people come to see the sea rage. It did few days ago. Big waves. But freezing 32 0C is rare. Did snow one christmas day few years ago about 10am stayed on ground long enough to take picture of beach.

I used to look for a meteor every Friday night. Usually took about 10 min or less. Friend of wifes saw Milky Way for first time when she visited. And she was from Santa Rosa!?! UFB! Lack of light pollution means a lot to me and it implys some other good things too, like no overcrowding. Best starviewing is if you awake in the middle of the night and everybody or most everybody has turned out the lights. Then it sometimes looks like it does in the mountains. You can actually see by starlight. Some people have never seen that.
