someone (I think it was CB, but I'm not sure) posted about an Iranian class of people that migrated to India:

Parsi/Parsee/Zoroastrian : heres a note I got from a friend who follows that faith:

"Our religion is Zoroastrian. But the bunch who came to India some 1300 years ago are known as Parsees as they have come from Pars(Persia) which was the ancient name of present day Iran. One band of Zoarastians who came to India
in the last century are known as Iranis, ....
This is as per my knowledge"

Colloquial term (in India) for the 'latter day migrants to India' is Irun.
