I understand the PARQ is getting out of the Smalltalk business and has layed off(or is in the process of laying of) most of their remaining senior smalltalk developers. Smalltalk has been their core business for their entire existence. They are going to focus on Java where there is a stronger market. I understand that they are going to rename the company ObjectShare, which is a small company that they bought a few years ago.

This will definitely upset their current Smalltalk customer base. It seems like a desperate act that has some (small) chance to succeed.
