LG, if all you want to do is draw the spiral free hand, here's how... from the center, make a half circle, be sure it's a small one... as you continue drawing the spiral, each 90 degree turn is 1.618 the distance from the center of the previous point in that spiral... keep drawing until you run off the paper...
