Pakistani man who killed CIA employees executed in Virginia
Last Updated Fri, 15 Nov 2002 8:35:04
WASHINGTON - After exhausting all avenues of appeal, a 38-year-old Pakistani man has been executed in Virginia. But his death has prompted U.S. authorities to warn of possible attacks against Americans.

INDEPTH: Target Terrorism

Mir Aima Kasi
Mir Aima Kasi was convicted for the 1993 killings of two CIA employees as they sat in morning traffic outside the agency's Langley, Virginia, headquarters.

The FBI says he did it to protest U.S. policy in the Middle East.

Kasi was executed Thursday by lethal injection after both the U.S. Supreme Court and Virginia's governor refused to stay the execution.

Earlier this week, protestors in Pakistan promised retaliation if Kasi was put to death.
