Mohan, if I thought SPYN would gain 9 points in a day I obviously wouldn't have sold it. Obviously, it was a mistake. I was up over 100% (not including another 50% made selling calls on it for sveral months) and didn't anticipate them crushing earnings based on a comment the company made in which they indicated only that they were comfortable with this quarters numbers, gaving no hint of upside surprises. I never know when it is best to sell a stock and typically hold too long and get stuck in the downdraft. thus, I tend to be more of a trader and sell when I make a decent profit.

As far as USS being a threat, they are SPYN's only competitor. Each makes a device for the same purpose, although there are some differences between them. USS did secure a purchasing arrangement with an extremely large hospital chain about 2 months ago. One money management firm dowgraded SPYN to an outright "sell" after that was announced. Another case of analysts not knowing anything.

JNJ is not a threat; they were "rumored" to have been interested in SPYN about a year ago.

BTW, do you hold SPYN? If so, you may want to consider selling some covered calls on it milk your gains. I was selling calls on my shares for several months and milked an extra 8-10 points that way.

Good luck.
