Money in politics is all about television ads. TV interests hopes $1 billion political ad income in '04 The broadcast lobby is super-powerful in Washington. What's needed is a fulltime channel exclusively for political debate for at least 6 months prior to each election. The airwaves are "the commons" like air, water and public parks, and the public-service obligation every broadcaster agrees to has been ignored.
