Never been to Iran. Know many Iranians though you got stranded by the revolution. Just looking at the news, I would say the majority of the population could easily become pro American. Needless to say, that could easily be screwed up. The revolution happened there because the western powers did many things wrong in that country. If those mistakes are realized, the country could be a real good friend of the USA -mho-. Sure the clerics need restraining. As do other religious sources that use fear and hatred.
