Charles: Most of the analysts that follow the telcos have put
the locals on upgrade and the LD's on downgrade. Some of the
locals were upgraded to buy from neutral yesterday, and AT&T was
downgraded to attractive from buy. The bigger worry is that the
LD business is going to shift a lot more rapidly than the local
because of those netphones. This growth in the net should be good
for the semi stocks and so should the growth in PCS that's expected
to come on strong within the next year. Like I said before, AMD
makes a huge number of chips for the PCS business, so that should
be a big boost for the long-term outlook of AMD.
