Market acting strangely and holding above 8500, despite what I believe should be growing concern about war and what it could lead to. Also, the effects on an already fragile economy and budget. The alliance we had with many Arab nations during the Gulf War is not there this time. Maybe because we were presumably there to defend Kuwait.
Bush seems intent on finding reason for attacking, and it's probably justified. Once UN inspectors are there, they will be hostages. Saddam's people will again be his shield.
With 10 years having now passed, you would think a more stealth and efficient means of ousting him would have been devised.
DOW now 8518 and likely to go to 8600 by close, simply because that's where they want it.
It lifts America's spirit.
