tc is *MY MAN* I'm typing this post on the "her Gateway" .... key phrase is ROLL BACK DRIVER works GREAT .... thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou and a magnificent thanks to all who have responded and helped .... I'm going back upstairs and I might NEVER NEVER EVER use this machine again .... hehehehehehehe btw ... I did find one discussion on a black screen on a website I'd previously not been aware .... it looked promising, and I'll go find it on whichever box I was using upstairs and post it .... I'd joined an IT group out of Dallas at a seminar at which I met one of their members .... I have NO talent of the level that those folks possess, but from time to time I have found their discussions interesting ... anyway, I'll post it in a jiff ..... thanks again and IF you have a Gateway box running an NVidia card driving a Gateway FPD1500 flatscreen monitor ... I can highly recco that you do NOT install the WindowsXP update from 9/27/02 ..... hehehehehehehe
