Comarco Inc announced that it has expanded its test equipment license agreement with QUALCOMM to cover WCDMA and CDMA2000 3G technologies for wireless test equipment applications.

Inset : The X Series sets the standard for next-generation 3G network improvement and optimization.

With the license expansion, Comarco is now licensed by QUALCOMM to manufacture and sell test equipment for the complete range of CDMA technologies deployed throughout the world including IS-95, CDMA2000 1X, CDMA2000 1xEV-DO, and WCDMA (UMTS).

The QUALCOMM license expansion is a fundamental element of Comarco's new XPort product development roadmap. "Our expanded license positions us well to take advantage of 3G network deployments underway around the world," said Comarco President and CEO Tom Franza. "This timely license agreement with QUALCOMM along with our XPort test platform strategy, should offer Comarco significant competitive advantages in the drive test equipment marketplace."
