Hi Roebear. Hickory instead of oak? :o)

<we'll be warm this winter no matter what.>

As long as we aren't glowing in the dark sometime before the end of heating season.......

Although I don't attach much, if any, credibility to that Asian newspaper article; was surprised with the dire nature of the FBI warning, issued in the past 24 hours.

<"In selecting its next targets, sources suggest al Qaeda may favor spectacular attacks that meet several criteria: high symbolic value, mass casualties, severe damage to the U.S. economy and maximum psychological trauma," the FBI said.>

And in another excerp from The NY Times article:

<...several officials said that today's warning was genuine, although they added that there was no intelligence about the time, place or method of any such attack. They acknowledged that the language of this alert was more extreme than similar alerts issued in the past; earlier alerts have seldom made reference to the expectation of large-scale attacks or possible casualties.>

nytimes.com

Could be just a coincidence. But the proximity in time of the alleged Al Qaeda interview getting a public airing in that Asian paper and the FBI alert right on top of it makes me wonder if the story may contain an element of truth, exaggerated though it may be.

Of course, we will all know in the fullness of time.
