Well, there are some good things on the horizon not the least of which is the coming legislation in a now controlled Republican Congress. From Dr. John Rutledge, founder and chairman of Rutledge Capital:

"The biggest of these is the dividend tax cut. Eliminating either the corporate tax or the investor tax would lower the after tax cost of capital by 1.5-2%, adding as much as 30% to the Intrinsic Value of the stock market. The resulting stock price increases for dividend paying companies would induce a dramatic change in corporate dividend policy."
