AJ, I also feel ebay is in trouble. The earnings climb comes from increased listing fees and a few increased sellers, but not so much from the final value fees since the average price has fallen over the last year by as much as 40%.
A lot of this is due to lower prices for the same items, but some will be due to more listings of lower priced items.

Sounds like the "Emperor has no clothes" effect in operation.

With GSCO having 50% of the float under their control they can use the margin on it to buttress the stock. I feel this cconcentration is against the interests of free market operation and I am amazed that there are no restrictions on such a degree of conentration where GSCO can manipulate the price at will.
