I watched the game today. What is his weight, height? Jimmi Brown, the greatest ever,imo.(and still holds the most yards per carry record, and if he hadn't quit early to go into movies, his records would be out of sight) Was, as i remember 6'2" at 245lbs, explosive speed and leg power that defies description(saw him carry 5 men hanging on him, 20yards(and you saw them slowly falling off exhausted).
I have to say, on watching Johnson today, i had flashbacks to the pure power and speed of Jimmi Brown.
I gather he would be automatic for Heisman, but Heisman is all about promotion and vote getting, and PSU, didn't promote LJ.
BTW, he broke Lydell Mitchell's record today, i see, cripes what a BACKFIELD that was; Franco Harris and Lydell Mitchell, Mr. Outside and Mr.Inside, Blanchard and Davis were not as good i bet.Max |
