First, a "motivated public" doesn't exist.

Second, I'm not sure what you mean be "full disclosure." There is more than enough info out there on every issue. With public T.V. and radio, innumerable publications, CSPAN, access to congressional hearings and reports via the internet, etc., if the "motivated" public wants info it's there for the taking.

Third, however, the "public" is lazy, uneducated and indifferent. Everything must be spoon fed to them. That's why idiots (aka "showmen") like Gordon Liddy, Howard Stern, Rush, and Mike Gallagher have free reign to opine with the most inane slant on issues and fans call in agreeing on every point.
