Remember how many folks on these tech threads trashed Fleckenstein while profusely bowing at the 'CEO altar'... Perhaps they should have been doing the opposite. My local Barnes and Noble (keep in mind I live in IBM country) has a huge rack of Gerstner's new book right at the entrance. Another example of CEO worship. Yeah the guy made some decent strategic moves, and took home a billion or so as a result, (all along cutting benefits for IBM employees and pissing off lots of them) but for the most part these guys looked like heroes because of the tech boom, and not any 'genius' on their part...
