Hi George, <<You and Greenspan have a lot in common. Namely it often is difficult to discern exactly what you mean>>
Unlike Greensputin, I can make myself crystal clear upon direct examination:0)
<<Are you bullish or bearish on Japan and Asia now?>>
I am bullish on China for the next 18-24 months. I will be adding China/HK shares over the next 6 months, slowly at first, and rapidly upon onset of Operation Iraq Regime Change.
I am bullish on Japan for the next 4 months, and I am thinking about adding a real estate company, an exporter, a financial institution, and a drug company, but maybe only if above mentioned Operation Regime Change gets underway.
If the Operation results in a temporary interruption of ME oil to Japan, then its currency and stocks will crash. Should this happen before December 2002, the opportunity to buy Japan would be singular.
I am not bullish on China/HK/Japan stock markets for any time beyond above stated time horizon for speculation purposes. Some folks idea of long term is too long for me. I do try to time the market.
I am not bullish on Asia ex-China/HK/Japan financial markets. I think the SE Asia Tigers are stew meat, and India is simply too exotic a location for me, one who is comfortable buying and holding Hub Power of Pakistan and Zimbabwe Platinum of Mugabe;0)
I may add massively to my Hub Power position at the onset of Operation Regime Change, or before, should the Operation not take place by early January.
Chugs, Jay
