OFF TOPIC: nfli has had lots of problems (did i address that tactfully or what? ;-) sec investigation is OVER with no adverse findings. the 13 attorney generals and nfli have reached an agreement with nfli not admitting any guilt. the only thing they really had to do was stop using the term "instant executive." now they say "executive right away." their program is 100% intact - though the distributors tend to represent it more accurately now (the distributors' inaccurate portrayal of nfli's LEGAL program was nfli's big SIN). kevin trudeau spent time in the slammer. he stole some credit card receipts in the mid 80s or something like that. he made full financial restitution.

nfli settled out of court in two civil suits. one alledged a pyramid scheme and the other had to do with not disclosing kevin's past soon enough. nfli didn't admit any wrong and rolled over for what amounted to legal extortion, imho. if 13 attorney gen'ls COULD NOT CHANGE NFLI'S MLM PROGRAM THEN HOW COULD IT BE ILLEGAL? maybe they did the prudent thing by just settling and getting it behind them.

the bad news is now behind them, imho. the company has shown nothing but class in the midst of this CRISIS, imho.

their stock is now $8 instead of $36 where it used to trade - i believe all of the bad news is factored into the current stock price. it should now move based on earnings which have finally turned positive. revs were up about 10% sequentially last q for the first time in over 12 months!

there is risk, though. i've followed the company for 17 months and know them quite well. i've personally spoken to kevin trudeau and followed him on the aol message boards. i haven't talked to him recently (last 12 months or so).

believe it or not, during the hey day with the il ag, kevin trudeau was MUCH MORE HONEST ABOUT THE PROCEEDINGS THAN THE IL AG! the il ag was busy putting a SPIN on what was going on that he lost sight of the TRUTH - or, perhaps he never saw it in the first place.

about 40% of my portfolio is in nfliw. if you are interested but not as familiar with all the negativity then i wouldn't invest nearly that much.

let me know if you have any other question. there is an nfli message board that would probably be more appropriate to discuss these issues.

best of luck :-)
