We cannot placate al Qaeda -- we must cut off their funding and kill them. There is no disagreement about that. But we must also cut the source of the publc hatred for America -- and lets not kid ourselves about that either -- the actions we take have an impact on the willingness of people to die a martyrs death. Our policies are flawed. Our support of Israel without condition is flawed. And no matter what aspect of the mid-east you discuss, Israel plays a role on the minds of the Arab world.
