THE DEMOCRATIC-CONTROLLED Senate was expected to vote Tuesday on whether to strip seven GOP items from the bill. Republicans say that move could kill any chance that the Homeland Security Department legislation would make it to President Bush’s desk this year. Let us pray they don't let this pass.
