IDT Names Thomas Brenner Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

Promotes James L. Laufman to Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Secretary

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 2002--IDT(TM) (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.) (Nasdaq:IDTI - News), a leading communications IC company, today announced the appointment of Thomas Brenner as vice president of worldwide marketing and the promotion of James L. Laufman to vice president, general counsel and assistant secretary.

Brenner will oversee the company's strategic marketing, business development and worldwide marketing communications departments. He is responsible for driving the company's strategic direction as well as establishing IDT's corporate positioning.

"Thomas brings marketing and business experience to IDT and has a proven track record in starting, growing and managing business divisions for semiconductor companies," said Greg Lang, president and CEO-elect for IDT. "He is a strong addition to the IDT management team, and I am confident his experience will be invaluable as we strengthen our strategic direction of developing products to accelerate intelligent packet processing."

Brenner, 39, brings more than 15 years of semiconductor experience to IDT. He joins IDT from LSI Logic where he spent the last five years, most recently as the vice president and general manager of the networking ASIC division where he managed marketing, program management, and system engineering teams for their enterprise, metropolitan area, and wide area networking businesses. Prior to LSI Logic, Brenner spent eight years at Philips Semiconductors with increasing responsibility in marketing and sales management roles in the United States and Europe. Brenner also previously held engineering positions at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company. Brenner received bachelor of science degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.

About James Laufman

James Laufman was promoted from general counsel to vice president, general counsel and assistant secretary. He is responsible for managing the legal affairs of IDT, including SEC filings, contracts, litigation and licensing. Laufman, 37, reports to Jerry Fielder, interim chief financial officer for IDT.

"Jim has done an excellent job managing the IDT legal department during the past three years," said Fielder. "He has a strong mix of both business and legal experience that enables him to provide sound and practical advice to the company."

Prior to IDT, Laufman spent one year at Quantum Corp. as corporate counsel and four years at Rohm Corp. where he served as vice president, general counsel. He has also held business and commercial litigation positions at the law firms of Berliner Cohen and Popelka, Allard, McCowan & Jones in San Jose, Calif. Laufman received a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University and a bachelor of science in business administration and finance from California State University, Chico.
