'My question for you: What is it about XM at this point in time that comes as a surprise to you?'

That companies like GM would ever consider continuing to fund this 'luxury' service despite the venture's inability to repay the debt that has been incurred to date. As for net subscriber adds, qtrly growth rate (118%, 79%, 47%) has slowed and will likely continue to do so unless XMSR, GM et al are willing to take a bath. Guess if you have money to burn, who's to say how you invest it? What is the IRR for XMSR (considering all costs of launching satellites, developing market, gaining subs, operating studios, creating content etc.)?

Guess if you're planning to displace current radio industry, there might be a long term b-plan that the public wouldn't understand. Based on current revenue, it looks pretty ugly.
