Looks like Greenspam is verbally hedging now, trying to preserve his place in history. Unfortunately, he has already sealed his pathetic legacy and our fate in stone.
The idiot and his accomplices have totally undermined and gutted the economic foundation of this country.
It is no wonder why so many people around the world despise americans. It sickens me to see the financial stunts these clowns have pulled, this current market manipulation/controlled descent is going to drag out our (financial & perhaps moral) cleansing for years.
We are looking more like the socialist states of europe every damned day.
Businesses, government, and the media have bankrupted us in every sense of the word. We have a created a nation of consumers who just worry about themselves, there is no personal sacrifice for the greater good. We have a cancer that has permeated our entire system and we are sitting on our collective arses doing nothing about it.
Jim, correctly, states that more of the same "easy money" is not going to correct our past financial excesses. Well, more of the same democratic/republican political BS isn't going to solve any of our problems either. With the exception of Ron Paul they all suck and are part of the problem not the solution.
As a US citizen who lives within his means and saves for the future I am mad as hell. The systems, of this country, have loop holes that have been exploited to the maximum extent possible. Now, unfortunately, things will have to get much worse before they will ever get better.
