i was just about ready to uninstall NoAds, then download & install Pop-Up Stopper FREE when i spied this notice... "Important: Pop-Up Stopper FREE features basic pop-up and pop-under ad blocking technology. You may be required to hold down the CTRL key to access new links on web pages and email. The Pro and Companion DO NOT have this limitation as they feature a more robust technology." yikes! is that what you were referring to when you said, "NoAds has become less effective but I still like it better than having to hold down a key to open a new window"? i'd better find some different freeware, or else spring for a quality shareware program. NoAds is possibly at the root of this browser window not opening business that happens intermittently. i've been doing some experimenting and research. but i don't want to have to use the Ctrl key either. :) mark
