Lawrence: First, thanx for your very well-reasoned post.

Like many of my fellow Intel investors, I have learned to my chagrin that selling Intel was a mistake. In my case I chased a stock with some of my Intel gains that has yet to perform.

While I cannot dispute your points, my mistake was underestimating Intel's sales growth. We are truly in uncharted territory here. How much will Intel's price declines boost sales. Who knows? I believe worldwide PC penetration is under 5%. Looking back from 2010, could the PC be the next telephone (in various iterations yet to be determined) with 50% or even 80% household penetration, on a global basis. Who knows?

My problem with selling Intel now is that I have to be right twice: when I sell and when I buy back. I have been at this long enough to know I'm only sometimes good at doing one.

Also, I like others who have regretably sold some Intel are like Mark Twain's probverbial cat who sits on a hot stove lid. He won't sit on a hot stove lid again, but he won't sit on a cold one either. That's why you hear some of us say, "Never, never never sell Intel."

Good luck with your investing.
