Simple problems require simple solutions (regardless of how devastating they are).

The one problem that the world has faced in this decade that cannot go unresolved for society to make progress is the problem with the economy.

Simple solution: If the US can develop a new revenue stream of say 30billion per year of income, the economy of the US will be stimulated and by domino effect the economy of the world. So, war with Iraq will happen and result in victory. The nations of the world will endorse it. The US will claim reparations as part of the peace treaty with Iraq. (the war will cost the US between 30 and 40 billion). The US will "allow" Iraq to sell enough oil to pay these reparations while also allowing Iraq to sell oil to rebuild its infrastructure and establish a new political structure. The US will then be required to remain in the region for at least 5 years while the restructuring takes place (more oil sales to pay the US).

The world economy recovers, stability in the region, terrorism remains the focus la dee da...problems resolved.

We will have our war; drag your feet, kick and scream, iddonmadderrinnymor. The economy says so.
