The VD portfolio has identified promising companies with good science and good management (mostly) over the past few years. Doing so has been helpful to many at SI - perhaps even including yourself.

Everyone made money in the runup and everyone (almost) has lost money in the subsequent two years. The companies that V1 et al have identified are largely the companies that are likely to lead the sector and the market out of the trough.

Two of the great things about SI are the general sharing of information by capable, hardworking people and the constructive tenor of discussions here. That latter characteristic separates SI biotech threads from any other threads with similar focus on the web. We should all remember that respect is a key lubricant for productive idea-sharing.
