The comparison is wondrously flawed for many other reasons. Central european christian fascism was no worldwide phenomenon. It was a localized phenomenon dealing primarily with only two christian sects. Moreover, it was significantly countered by many other christians from its inception. Authorities from both catholic and lutheran groups fought it, many giving their lives to end it. Lastly, vast numbers of christians would eventually come against fascism in overt war such that today it is but a memory.

Even as fascism reigned in parts of europe, no one could legitimately claim that christianity is marked by fascist hostility. Too many christians were engaged in ending fascism for that to be true. That sort of effective defining of islam is just not taking place except amongst those who slaughter innocent people. And the rest are essentially silent.

Got a "small" (compared to your average MN monster) 10 pointer today. Yippee!
