Yes. Can't talk for the reformed Jews of America, but that's how it is in ME. I saw many Muslim/Jew couples breaking up with heavy pressure from the Jewish side, especially if the Jew was to be the groom - as Gina said, the religion is inherited from the mother's side, according to Jewish beliefs. I know only three Muslim/Jew couples that managed to get married (not in Israel), and they went through hell to get there. The wife never got accepted into the Jewish community. Jewish children don't invite their children to birthday parties (read: their parents don't invite them). Especially intriguing is the extra mayhem that comes out if the Jewish person who intends to marry a non-Jew has the surname "Cohen" or "Levi" - apparently, these two are significant families, one the servants of Moses and the other his guards, or something like that, and it is nothing less than a scandal that a Cohen or a Levi might choose to marry a non-Jew. Go figure.
