You are incorrect. I have offered to issue an appropriate apology as part of an exchange of apologies which accepts that there has been fault on all sides. What I object to is being made the sole fall guy for a situation which has many people who have acted in ways they ideally should not have acted in, and for which apologies would be appropriate. This is a quite common approach to resolving such a situation. I'm just disappointed that nobody else seems to recognize this.
