Mike. I don't think they're going to have to do that. Cell phones, pdas,palm PCs, tablet PCs and all the other devices that are coming out will be jammed with chips that provide access through all of this stuff-WiFi,Bluetooth,CDMA and whatever else is invented in the next 15 seconds.
The device will just switch back and forth as needed. If a cell phone can roam all over the world ( World Phone ) because it has all of the chips needed to work on the different networks (GSM, CDMA etc. )why can't these other pieces of equipment do the same?
I realize that we aren't there yet but we are getting there a lot faster than people thought even a few years ago.
You wouldn't believe the functions that they are cramming into the new "not" top of the line cell phones.
