Explorer- 'Runtime Error'

From the time I loaded the student edition of Microsoft Office,(includes: PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Word), I get an error box appearing on many Internet web pages that I go to. The box says ERROR, A runtime error has occurred. Do you wish to debug? Many time the yes button does not debug and then displays the script for the total page with options to correct the script.(I am definitely not a programmer.) Not only is the box annoying, but also the appearance of the box sounds a 'VERY LOUD GONG SOUND'.

Most times I have to to click either the yes or no button many times before I get a reaction. Each press sounds activates the 'GONG SOUND'.

I have XP, is there any way to deactivate the runtime error application or at least make the sound effect null and void. Thanks again. I have been this way before(I have been provided valuable and appreciated info from this site before.)
